Emergency Medical Technician Clinical

Prerequisites:  EMT 1725 Emergency Medical Technician

This course will provide students with the opportunity to ride in a combination of Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulances.  Students will learn to assist paramedics in performance of BLS and ALS assessment and skills and will document (10) patient contact hours.  This course, in conjunction with Emergency Medical Technician and Emergency Medical Operations, meets the EMT guidelines of the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians and the Minnesota State EMS Regulatory Board.
